Non-Film but totally amazing check out the preview for photographer Neil Krug’s upcoming book PULP.

He’s comin’ for YOU next!

) Point Blank, 1967

One of the best film noir of all time staring the original King Badass: Lee Marvin. This flick features cutting edge visuals and editing. Instantly captivating, always exciting and bad to the bone, trust me, it’s everything you want, go see it. Trailer posted above.

VAN NUYS BLVD. I really love this silly rip off of American Graffiti. The company behind this gem is Crown International Pictures who are responsible for some of the best B Movies of the drive-in era. While never technically amazing the flicks are often funny, fast paced and slightly more edgy than studio fare. The trailer is almost better than the movie check it out! Just remember “Nobody calls the Cooch a creep!”

What a beautiful poster! This movie is apparently called Mission Stardust, it’s German and available for viewing (in it’s entirety) on youtube. Sadly it only has German audio, but check out those opening credits! Far out!

The Naked Prey is Cornel Wilde’s 1966 version of The Most Dangerous Game set in southern Africa. An amazing adventure flick filmed on location in some really beautiful locations. While some of the wildlife scenes are clearly stock footage there is a fairly convincing blend between them and the fictional scenes. I have to say this film is not for the weak of heart, it’s pretty damn brutal. A man gets covered in clay and baked alive in this motion picture. Go grab this flick from the good people @Criterion!

What’s Going On Here?

I love movies, I mean I really, really love movies. I needed a larger platform to share information about things I’m watching or are excited about, that’s where you come in tumblr! I’m not a hater so I’m not going to be wasting a lot of energy posting about how bad the new (insert terrible film cliche’ here) film looks. I’m also not going to be focusing on new or current movies. The idea here is to celebrate exciting filmmakers and cool cinema, that’s all. Enjoy!
